ich wusste es. irgendwann würde es sich rächen, dass ich mich früher auf familienfesten immer abgeseilt habe, um die bruce springsteen - scheiben meines onkels aufzulegen. das hab ich jetzt davon: die alternative-country rocker lucero laufen bei mir in der heavy rotation.

deep elm records bieten momentan special offers an, u.a. 20 cds für 19 $. angesichts des dollarkurses ist das durchaus überlegenswert, der backcatalog des independent labels bietet so einige perlen (ok, auch ne menge schrott). sei es wie´s sei - mein päckchen ist unterwegs.
the gaslight anthem “the´59 sound”
die neue platte habe ich an dieser stelle schon gehuldigt vorgestellt, hier der titelsong der scheibe, in immerhin überdurchschnittlich guter youtubequalität, bisschen viel gequatsche am anfang, naja.
inzwischen läuft hier auch die letzte 7” von gaslight anthem, “senor and the queen” hoch und runter, auch zu empfehlen, wogegen die vorgängerplatte “sink or swim”, die seit geraumer zeit hier irgendwo gespeichert rumfährt, bei mir keine bleibenden eindrücke hinterlassen hat, hmmm. muss ihr wohl nochmal ne chance geben.

Komisch, wie man immer wieder die gleichen Scheiben auspackt, passend zu den immer gleichen wiederkehrenden undefinierbaren Stimmungen. Meine Lieblingszeile. expect the best, accept the worst hat sich schon als Lebensmotto eingebrannt.
